Rebecca created The Next Chapter out of her own lived experience with adversity and mental illness. She knows what it feels like to believe you cannot keep going—to carry the weight of stigma, silence, and struggle—and the quiet strength it takes to fight for another chance.
For much of her life, Rebecca wrestled with doubt and pain, often feeling like her story had already been written for her. She sought professional support, which she believes is essential, but she also discovered another piece of healing: the power of storytelling, literacy, and self-reflection. These became her lifelines—tools that helped her face the hardest chapters and begin to write new ones.
The Next Chapter was born from this balance. Professional help played a critical role in Rebecca’s journey, but she also realized how important it was to have safe, honest spaces where people could share their experiences, feel less alone, and see that others had found a way forward too.
Her vision now is to create those spaces for others—through journals that guide reflection, sessions where families can connect, and programs that bring literacy and self-empowerment into the hands of those who need it most.
Rebecca is not a doctor or therapist, and she does not offer medical advice. She is a woman with lived experience who knows firsthand how powerful it is to hear another voice say, “You’re not alone.” Her work is an invitation to believe that no matter what came before, there is always another chapter ahead—and it is yours to write.
